Writing a Illinois lease agreement that holds up

Landlord-tenant rules in Illinois (IL) differ from other states. A generic template may omit disclosures, notice periods, or deposit rules that local practice expects.

List all tenants and occupants. Define rent, due date, late fees, and payment method.

Cover utilities, parking, pets, smoking, maintenance, and entry notice for inspections.
